The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it really is alarmed with regard to the high range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the sassa status Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services point developed for intervention encounters a status sassa higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
